they call me... tim

i know i should use capital letters, but i am not a fan of what it does to the letter
"I", in most cases. if i had to decide between a tree that grew time
and a tree that grew money, i would honestly have to sit and think about which
to pick the fruit from. i do not eat fruit. nope. ask me again and i'll tell
you the same. i don't eat fruit and i don't eat seafood. i like to think i am
not "picky" because i knock out whole food groups at a time. i've
been told i have a dry sense of humor. i've also been told i look like howie
mandel. i'm not sure if that is a compliment. i am uber-blessed to have a wife
who "deals with me"... though she may run into eye trouble one day
for how much she rolls her eyes at my antics.

i love to take photos. i love what they capture of my life and your lives. and then i
love to take those moments and "paint" on them... to reflect some of
the emotion that is already there in a unique way.

add this page to your bookmarks. i will continue to show sneak previews of what i am working
on as well as session summaries. you will also find random promotions and
discounts, as well as sporadic views into my and my family's life.

alli & sean: wedding by the harbor (part two)

this has taken me far too long to get the second portion up. my apologies. this was my first wedding of the season this year… and due to the time crunch, we were unable to squeeze in an engagement session. we decided to get out for a sort of “trash the dress” shoot after the reception and everything. we were all kind of jazzed about the prospect of it, and it made me okay with missing out on an e-shoot.

before we even got to the beach, we took a few shots off (and on) PCH.

this was a happy little accident. i was crossing behind them and had my camera at my hip and just decided to lift it and shoot wildly.

blog003

i sent them down to the sand with some vague instructions while waiting to take some shots from afar.

i joined them down on the beach shortly after…

as a photographer, i get all giddy when a bride is willing to get her dress sandy “for the cause”.

this beach had some fantastic and funky little niches to shoot in and around.

sean drew this gigantic heart for them to stand in. unfortunately, the tide kept washing it away.

we returned to where they were staying that first night. they were such good sports, they stood out in the street for a while to make this shot work. not as much traffic in that spot as i had hoped for. but they were loving it because of how many people gave them the “car honk of congratulation” as they passed. who doesn’t love that?

a couple final shots and it was a wrap…

they were so much fun to spend the day with and i was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with them.

again, i wish you two a life full of happiness and love. from the look of your first hours as husband and wife, there will be no shortage of either!  :)
