when i was hired to photograph this family, it was primarily for their newest addition. however, we talked a lot about the photos and i was happy how much it ended up incorporating everyone. and who wouldn’t? i mean, look at this family! no doubt this little boy is going to grow up to have to beat the ladies off with a stick! ;)

thanks again to the entire family for being so generous and welcoming to me. i hope you love your photographs and that they grace your walls beautifully.

this has been a little while in the making. this post, not the baby. well… anyways… i best stop myself there. this is my new little nephew, born to my brother and his wife a few months ago now. i went over to their house a couple of weeks after he was born to take some photos of him for their announcements and here are some of their faves. congrats matt and blythe!!

when a friend has a baby, it’s always such a joyous celebration. i always feel like my photography is another gift i can give, if i am allowed the honor of taking their photos for the parents. when skylar’s mom and i coordinated for a day to take photos i was so excited to meet her new baby girl.

i am such a sucker for the details on babies… especially their little hands and feet…

baby’s first binky is such a reminder of the newness of that little miracle of birth. and i cracked up at the special pacifiers skylar’s parents had for her too.

you have to just love the funny faces a baby makes!

by the end of the day, on mama’s lap, skylar was making some good eye contact with me… even if she was still bein’ sassy : )

i can’t wait to shoot her again later this year with her two twin cousins! see you then, skylar!
