they call me... tim

i know i should use capital letters, but i am not a fan of what it does to the letter
"I", in most cases. if i had to decide between a tree that grew time
and a tree that grew money, i would honestly have to sit and think about which
to pick the fruit from. i do not eat fruit. nope. ask me again and i'll tell
you the same. i don't eat fruit and i don't eat seafood. i like to think i am
not "picky" because i knock out whole food groups at a time. i've
been told i have a dry sense of humor. i've also been told i look like howie
mandel. i'm not sure if that is a compliment. i am uber-blessed to have a wife
who "deals with me"... though she may run into eye trouble one day
for how much she rolls her eyes at my antics.

i love to take photos. i love what they capture of my life and your lives. and then i
love to take those moments and "paint" on them... to reflect some of
the emotion that is already there in a unique way.

add this page to your bookmarks. i will continue to show sneak previews of what i am working
on as well as session summaries. you will also find random promotions and
discounts, as well as sporadic views into my and my family's life.

gus & missy: orange county wedding

you may remember this couple from their engagement session at disneyland. of course, only a fun-loving couple like that could create a cake for their wedding like you are about to see. gus created all of the figures on this cake on his own. very impressive! ever seen a zombie wedding cake? yeah… i’m pretty...

jamie & jay | trash the dress

from the day we first set up things for her wedding photos, jamie and i talked about doing a trash the dress session afterward. i can’t remember why the salton sea got thrown into the pot for the location, but when it did, we both agreed as whole-heartedly as people can… that was the place...

alaine & vanessa: laguna niguel wedding

this was a very special wedding for a number of reasons. the two brides had actually planned this day quite some time prior, to hold a small ceremony of sorts and then a much larger fiesta celebration of their dedication to each other. well, just days before their big day, Prop 8 was overturned in...

jess & tommy | huntington beach wedding **sneak peek**

you may remember this couple from their fantastic engagement session from this year. you can go to that link if you don’t remember. basically, jess is a very good friend of mine and we have worked as cubicle neighbors for close to 5 years now. so, we are practically family. which made this day intensely...

jamie & jay: los angeles wedding (part 2)

so here we go… onto the ceremony for these two lovebirds. a beautiful outdoor ceremony on a perfect day in los angeles. all of the toasts were from the heart, but there was no denying that “pop pop” stole the show!   :) if you can’t tell, this reception was a party and a half. i...

jamie & jay: los angeles wedding (part 1)

jamie and jay were referred to me by a friend (thanks, josiah!) and i was excited to have the opportunity, to say the least. a young, good looking and fun couple who are getting married at an amazing venue? yes, please. i’ll have some of that. we started out bright and early at jamie’s mom’s...

alaine & vanessa: laguna niguel wedding ** Sneak Peek **

this weekend was a busy one and i wanted to get alaine and vanessa at least a teenie bit of a sneak peek from their wedding photos as soon as i could. this will be brief, but hopefully poignant. you know that “game” you can play at, say, disneyland where you grip this handle and...

karen & nick: tustin wedding (part 2)

the reception was held at the orange county mining co., which is a funky little restaurant up in the hills overlooking a few cities in the area. while the couple “worked the room”, you could tell how deeply loved they were. i love this first moment of a ring display  :) this friend of the...

karen & nick: tustin wedding (part 1)

karen and nick are one of those couples that have been together for years and you can just tell when you are around them. this is what relationships are all about: people clicking and able to completely be themselves with and around each other. it was fun to see them with their friends and family...

rachael: a bride in the making ** sneak peek **

this was a fairly interesting hiring. but one that i absolutely love. due to extreme budget constraints, rachael and her fiancee had to make some tough choices on their wedding day. one of the tougher ones was the realization that they just could not afford a professional photographer for the day. they ended up setting...
