they call me... tim

i know i should use capital letters, but i am not a fan of what it does to the letter
"I", in most cases. if i had to decide between a tree that grew time
and a tree that grew money, i would honestly have to sit and think about which
to pick the fruit from. i do not eat fruit. nope. ask me again and i'll tell
you the same. i don't eat fruit and i don't eat seafood. i like to think i am
not "picky" because i knock out whole food groups at a time. i've
been told i have a dry sense of humor. i've also been told i look like howie
mandel. i'm not sure if that is a compliment. i am uber-blessed to have a wife
who "deals with me"... though she may run into eye trouble one day
for how much she rolls her eyes at my antics.

i love to take photos. i love what they capture of my life and your lives. and then i
love to take those moments and "paint" on them... to reflect some of
the emotion that is already there in a unique way.

add this page to your bookmarks. i will continue to show sneak previews of what i am working
on as well as session summaries. you will also find random promotions and
discounts, as well as sporadic views into my and my family's life.

karen & nick trash the dress

meet karen and nick. i photographed their wedding back on may 1, and due to time constraints and location issues, we decided to do a TTD (trash the dress) session from the get-go. this allowed us more time, to not have to feel rushed between ceremony and reception… it was perfect. ** for those of...

alexis & kirsten: graduating twins

last year i did a couple of mini-sessions for families down in laguna. during one of them, alexis was one of my assistants (you may have seen her here). alexis’ family decided they wanted to get some photos of the twin sisters (graduating from a high school right around the corner from where i live)...

CUSD Strike 04.23.10

this was kind of a unique experience for me. though i see myself as one with strong beliefs, i have never been involved in a strike or anything of that nature. never picketed. never ‘walked a line’. never burned any undergarments to “stick it to the man”. one of my local school districts is entrenched...

emil & joanie: all you need is love (part 2)

i wanted to separate these two posts from this fantastical wedding or a good reason. as i said in the first part, i was originally hired with the idea of this being more of like “event photography”, than a normal kind of wedding. you got the wedding photos in the last post, now here is...

ashley: back to the tracks

ashley and i have been trying to work a shoot out for almost a year now. we finally got our ducks in a row and headed to a little nook i am loving lately. when i asked ashley what kind of setting she would really like to shoot in and ‘graffiti’ was one of her...

this has been a little while in the making. this post, not the baby. well… anyways… i best stop myself there. this is my new little nephew, born to my brother and his wife a few months ago now. i went over to their house a couple of weeks after he was born to take...

emil & joanie: all you need is love (part 1)

joanie was referred to me by a good friend (thanks again, gillian!!). it was always discussed as more of “event photography” than a wedding type day. they would be getting married in a small ceremony at their new home with family and a few friends attending. the reception and photos of everyone in attendance was...

laurie & dwight: holiday wedding

my communication with the bride over emails was fairly intriguing. the usual inquiries were made, details exchanged… and after some time, she hinted that we know each other. i had to rack my brain to recall all of the laura’s and laurie’s i have known over the course of my lifetime. when i was a...
